As a millennial mom of three, I have found myself relying heavily on my mother’s financial assistance. Despite being employed, the cost of living and childcare expenses have left me struggling to make ends meet. My mother has been a lifeline, providing financial support that has allowed me to focus on my children and my career. However, this reliance has created a sense of guilt and anxiety, as I feel like I am not contributing enough to our household.
I have tried to cut costs wherever possible, but the reality is that the cost of childcare, food, and housing in our area is extremely high. Even with two incomes, we are barely scraping by. My mother’s support has been crucial in helping us avoid debt and maintain a stable living situation.
Despite the challenges, I am grateful for my mother’s help. It has given me the freedom to pursue my career goals and provide for my children. However, I am also aware that this reliance is not sustainable in the long term. I am actively seeking ways to increase my income and reduce our expenses, so that I can become more financially independent and provide for my family without relying on my mother’s support.
In the meantime, I am grateful for the sacrifices my mother has made to help us. I am committed to finding a way to become financially stable and secure, so that I can provide for my family and give back to my mother for all her help.
