Trump Jr. wants to ‘make finance great again’ with new DeFi project

Donald Trump Jr. has launched a new decentralized finance (DeFi) platform called “The DeFiant Ones,” aiming to revolutionize traditional financial systems. The platform, announced via Telegram, aims to empower users by bypassing intermediaries and reducing costs and bureaucracy. Trump Jr. stated that the initiative is a response to perceived exclusionary practices in the mainstream financial sector, citing personal experiences of being “de-banked, de-platformed, and having political games played on us.” The platform’s details remain limited, but Eric Trump hinted at “digital real estate,” potentially involving tokenizing real-world assets or selling digitized versions of assets within the metaverse. The project aligns with Trump’s presidential campaign, seeking to challenge big banks and financial elites. Trump Jr. emphasized that the platform is not a memecoin but rather a serious effort to create a DeFi platform that can compete with traditional banking systems.
